Throughout my life I have been acquainted with the ideas of many different forms of soul unions. I have even had the rare experience of recognizing these soul connections and having the opportunity to grow from these experiences. These sacred unions find us in the moments when the potential for the associated growth is at the apex of it’s potential. They don’t normally come to us because we need them or want them the most, but rather when we are ready for them. This brings many people frustration for obvious reasons, but there are reasons for the process, and it is important to go through each stage that will bring us to connect with these unions.
There is also a popular misconception that because someone is a soulmate or a twin flame then that must mean that we must be romantically entangled with them. With some rare exceptions this tends to not be true. Both of these relationships tend to be centered around growth, learning an important lesson, or remembering one from a forgotten past. Many people do tend to develop a romantic relationship with these people, but very rarely is this a life long relationship. Generally by the time the growth has been initiated, the relationship is over.
A soulmate is someone who comes into your life at a pivotal moment in your life. These people tend to be a mirror reflection of your true self. Why do I say a “mirror” reflection, and not just a reflection? Think for a second about what you see when you look at yourself in the mirror. This isn’t an esoteric, “what do you see in yourself when you look in the mirror?”. “Oh I see a powerful goddess!” or “I see the animal living behind my eyes!” No! Come back to earth a little. Literally look at what you see. You look into the mirror and you see yourself, the same just as you do on any day. If you look closely you’ll notice, the reflection is you exactly, except it’s flipped in reverse. If you part your hair to the right, the guy in the mirror’s part goes to the left. If there’s a tattoo on your left side, the person in the mirror has one on the left. This is similar to how a soulmate is to you.
Not that this person looks exactly (or anything) like you, but that their personality, their habits, the things they do, the way they carry themselves are intrinsically the same, but maybe executed in another way. Maybe you are a person who strives to be as honest as possible, your soulmate would likely be dishonest and manipulative. See, honesty is a point that is crucial in both of your lives, but you execute it in opposing ways. And in that opposing nature, you learn how to balance these things within yourself.
The dishonest person, who has learned through life that in order to get what they want they must manipulate and plot to get what they want, sees that the honest person gets the same results by being direct with their intentions. At first they will study them and analyze them to try to figure out what their game is. In time they can see that they are doing nothing more than just being honest with their intentions and motivations (because someone who manipulates sees all things as a game). They learn it is okay to ask for and reach out for what they want.
The honest person can see that sometimes their honesty can be too much for someone to handle. Through observing the art of skillful story telling in their dishonest counterpart, and understanding how it’s important to learn to work with and appeal to someone’s emotional state or sensibilities can be crucial to landing an important message that may otherwise be hard to accept. They learn that it’s less important to be totally honest, and more important to temper their view point with tenderness in order to make the message useful to the receiver. They learn that it’s more important to seek understanding, and come away from criticisms. Even a well intended criticism lands poorly.
A twin flame is someone who actually has the same soul as you. At the moment of your soul’s creation it is split from it’s once perfect whole into two dynamic parts. These forms are purely energetic in nature, without form, gender, or any form of idealism. They are born into living existence in the form that will serve the purpose of the lessons they came to learn together, and the gifts they have to give to the world while they are together in this realm. They co-exist around one another, they teach one another lessons, they show each other their inherent strength and they go back to the work of their lives. Once it is complete, they reunite in the ether and return to source, or come back for another go round dependent upon their satisfaction with the work they came to do.
There are some schools of thought that believe that a twin flame actually looks like you. Even if they don’t it’s likely that they feel almost as though they could be part of your family. They tend to have more of a sibling bond, much like that of actual birth twins. At the very least there will be an immediate rapport between two twin flames, An inherent understanding of one another. They may even use language in a unique way that they both understand.
Whatever the chosen role that a soulmate or a twin flame will play in your life is dependent upon what you arranged in your soul contract before you were born. A soul contract is a series of binding “documents” that tell of the important lessons you came here to learn and realize into the world through your life’s work. We come to this planet to learn and to grow, it is hard to fill a cup that is already full, and in order to grow you must always be willing to forget and leave previous lessons behind. So each time we are born we are born as clear slates.
So how do we access the information in these soul contracts? How do we remember what it is we came here to do? Connecting with these soul unions can cause a deeply buried truth to resonate and surface for us so we can recognize it. Sometimes connecting with these soul unions can cause deep emotional scars that create resistance to us seeing the lessons in those events. To this end we have many different vehicles of connecting to the language of our soul contract. We can access these messages through the tarot and angelic messages, but the most powerful way to access our contracts is through accessing the Akasha.
Akashic record reading Is important self work if you are feeling disconnected from your life path and it’ lessons. The Akasha holds the records of your soul’s journey. everything that you have done from it’s creation until it is finished is recorded here. If you seek to connect with your true purpose or intention this is an excellent source of information.
You can always choose to take a more difficult approach if that feels natural for you. You would begin by connecting with your largest life lessons, examine them for a consistent theme. If you go back through your life lessons and encounter “lessons” that bring you resistance, or encourage avoidant behaviors, then you did not receive your soul’s true message in that moment. These are not lessons. Your soul’s messages are spoken from the platform of grace and unconditional love. If your “lessons” do not carry the resonance of of these values, then they are not the true voice of your soul. These are manifestations of ego superimposing itself on your soul’s message. So re-examine these moments, seek to find the place where love lives in these events. You will begin to see your truth.
Within your truth you will begin to understand the agreements made in your soul contract. Then, looking back through your life, you can see reinforcing messages have been all around you through your whole life. Then you can see your soulmate’s true purpose in your life. You will see that they were really placed in your life to help you to grow. So let yourself grow. Take those lessons and begin to put them into action in your life. See if things don’t start turning around for you. See if you don’t end up getting closer to a life that you can find a sense of satisfaction with.
Often times if we trace the pathway to our truth, at the end of that road we can find our most authentic self. Our best most realized self. We get into these fantastic ideas about what a soulmate or twin flame relationship may look like, but what we’re really looking for is the perfect partner. Somehow we’ve gotten this thing confused. Perhaps through movies, or story book romance ideas about being with someone who knows your soul inside and out for the rest of your lives. Idealistically, this may sound really nice, but how many of you are willing to wake up every day and face your truth at 100%?
So if meeting our soulmate is about taking on our life’s work, or about doing our self work, then what kind of guarantee is there that we will meet “the one”, that person who we will be with for the rest of our lives? How are we going to meet the right person? The short answer, we become the right person.
We become that person through knowing our soulmates. By living out the karmic path that we chose before we came here, and allowing it to lead us toward our lessons we become right. When we take those lessons and we default to a position of perfect love and perfect trust, and we use grace to interpret those messages, we grow into a vision of love that attracts love to us. We grow to become the thing that we seek. If what you want is not present in your life, you become it so you can draw it to you. This is how law of attraction works. I can attest to you, that law of attraction does work.
So as we move through life, it’s important not to have a singular focus on finding that one perfect person. It’s in our best interest to deepen and explore the relationships that are present in our lives and allow them to show us the ways in which we need to grow. The people who lead the best most fulfilled lives have been enriched by the depths of the relationships they maintain in their lives. In deepening those relationships they have found many mirrors of themselves to view themselves through and have gained a multifaceted perspective on who they are. The truth is best found when you draw clear lines between many marks. There is no straight direct line to the truth, the truth is between things, not in them.
